Very pleased with M18 Fuel guide rail adapter

Posted by Paul on 15th Dec 2022

Good piece of kit, fits great on my evolution track (2800 length), no play, stays true sliding. Blade is lined up well on the splinter guard. Rear arm of adaptor that clips on the base of the m18 fuel (under the motor) needed a little sanding on the outer to fit, minor and prefer it that way than something that has too much play in it. Works really well and for my purposes means I've got the flexibility of both a track and a decent standalone circular saw without anywhere near the normal cost of both setups.

    M18 CSS55 guide rail adapter

Posted by Derek on 23rd Aug 2021

Fits well but rear attachment can unlatch from saw shoe if not checked each time. I used evolution rails not festool rails with no problems. With the evolution rails the low friction strips are different so the saw shoe sits on both strips. The guide does not allow to cut at 45 degrees it would require a further offset to the saw guide move the blade over to avoid the rail. As 2 are supplied 1 of each would be better rather than a pair. The guide looks to be robust so the spare supplied will sit in the toolbox. Overall good product would be excellent if 45 degree cuts were possible.
